Linhart Public Relations is looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate will have 3 ? 4 years of professional experience and the following skills:
Client service skills required:
- Demonstrated experience in foundational public relations, social media and general communication.
- Ability to work independently and assume a leadership position on client projects with limited guidance and support.
- Experience managing client assignments, results, and day-to-day interaction with limited supervision.
- Ability to develop strategic, tactical and creative recommendations to suit client needs with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
- History of project management, team support, and peer mentoring.
- The ability to manage upward to both internal leaders and clients in order to effectively manage expectations and instill confidence.
- Error-free writing for client communication, documents, plans and reports.
- Ability to uncover and identify trends and contribute strategic ideas to programs and planning.
- Effective presentation and consulting skills, including the ability to provide rationale for recommendations.
- Ability to contribute to monthly billing and progress reports.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Professional skills required:
- Ability to manage and adhere to multiple deadlines and priorities, without prompting or reminders.
- Delivery of client-ready work and documents.
- Advanced understanding and application of proactive media relations, including proficiency in targeting news, bloggers and social media outlets.
- Familiarity with digital tools and channels for strategic business purposes and integration of digital media strategies and tactics into client programming.
- Ability to develop effective messaging and materials to prepare for product launches and to prepare clients for interviews.
- Ability to adhere to firm standards and timelines associated with billing and other administrative requirements.
- Ability to effectively manage time and provide adequate descriptions of time billed for clients.
- Understanding of and ability to meet or exceed utilization targets.
- Basic understanding of budgets and scopes of work.
- Basic understanding of industry trends and best practices.
- Basic understanding of effective monitoring, measurement and reporting.
- Ability to mentor junior professionals and interns on foundational communication skills and agency practices.
Business development skills required:
- Basic understanding of client requests for proposals (RFPs).
- RFP support, which may include research, idea generation, and proposal construction.
- Awareness of and eye for potential client opportunities with ability to recommend strategic and creative ideas.
- Ability to tell the Linhart PR story ? who we are and what we do.
